Take several dozen bouncing, exuberant, tail wagging English Cockers. Put them together with a sociable and welcoming group of owners. Add fun, camaraderie and education and what do you get? Liberty English Cocker Spaniel Fanciers, of course!
Liberty English Cocker Spaniel Fanciers, Inc. was formed in 2002 when 10 English Cocker owners in Southeastern Pennsylvania joined forces to share experience and knowledge. We now have members in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Maryland.
We are American Kennel Club Licensed and a member of the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America, Inc.
The Club holds six General Meetings a year incorporated around activities such as: match shows, grooming clinics, health and behavior seminars, hunt training, exhibitions in rally, tracking, agility and obedience. The Club also holds AKC licensed Hunt Tests, Supported and Specialty Shows.
The AKC has designated the Club’s territory as Chester County, Montgomery County, Delaware County, (PA); Cecil County (MD); and New Castle County (DE). The majority of members reside there, but members can be accepted from outside this area.
The Club’s objectives are to:
Better our understanding of the breed and breed standard
Encourage and mentor members to improve the breed through careful breeding programs
Support the programs & policies of our national club, the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America, Inc.
Provide opportunities for showing our dogs in conformation shows and match shows
Enable members to earn hunting titles with their dogs
Expose members to other canine sports, such as tracking, obedience, rally-o and agility
Offer a friendly and social atmosphere to share the joys of English Cocker ownership.
In the show ring, in the field or just on our laps, English Cockers bring delight to our lives. The only thing better is sharing this joy with fellow members of Liberty English Cocker Spaniel Fanciers, Inc.
